Faw Mini Truck & Van now in Pakistan under Al-Haj group of companies Plus+ a Brief Comparison

A very limited number of FAW Trucks can be seen on the roads. They are bigger than Ravi and smaller than Shehzor. This FAW truck and van is also available somewhere in USA as an all electric vehicle.
FAW motors Pakistan is also coming up with some new models in the coming months or years if everything goes according to their plans. Including a hatch-back like Suzuki Swift or Toyota Vitz and a SUV vehicle like a Honda CRV. Given are the pictures which you can find on the websites given below.

Those who think Chinese products are cheap or not as good as Japanese products, they prefer buying new or used, locally assembled or imported Japanese cars. That's why, we can see 20 to 60 years old Japanese cars (rebuilt, re-furnished) running on the streets of Pakistan. With so many banks offering car financing, it is easier for people of a decent monthly income to buy a vehicle which otherwise they can't afford. Local assembled so called Japanese vehicles are not as good as Internationally assembled vehicles but due to good resale value and cheaper parts, people prefer buying them thus, they are the widely stolen vehicles on gun point or being parked someplace. In India, similar Japanese companies provide inexpensive and brand new models which are in easy reach of majority. In Pakistan, we can't think of such things because of corruption, greed and no rule of law. Everybody including government etc think its their right to do what so ever they desire to do without bothering whats legal, ethical or moral.  These vehicles can give a better alternate choice to the people who can not afford a vehicle costing like a fully decorated small house (600k to all the way upto 35 million rupee). Well, unfortunately, looking at the future (upto 50 or 100 years), we don't see any positive change in any sector of Pakistan due to corruption, senseless and greedy people who happen to be muslim but alas! no where near to what a muslim should be.

Well, I havent found any video review by any Pakistani but here are some video links which clearly shows that FAW motors introduced their vehicles not only in Pakistan but many other countries all over the world. Names, specifications and built-quality might be slightly different but the Pick-up, Van, SUV and many of their heavy duty vehicles are same as Pakistani models. So, check out the next few links

Another short Video of FAW Van
FAW S80 in East Africa (same as Pakistani S80)

FAW Carrier (Saw similar FAW Carrier and it was quite long)
FAW V2 (Al-Haj may or may not introduce this in Pakistan)

Update: August 2015
FAW S80 length, height and width wise is more or less like the vehicles below. More and more people are choosing FAW XPV, Carrier, S80 and V2. Besides, FAW smaller vehicles are better value for money then similarly priced vehicles which are cheapo shitzukies or the used vehicles which comes with no warranty and their parts are also not easy to get.

Anyway, FAW S80 is like the below vehicles but less costly and comes with 60,000 kilometers warranty.
The above is FAW S80 in Silver. It cost somewhere around 1.7 or 1.9 million with all expenses including Registration.

The above is 2000 model KIA Sportage. KIA tryied to step in Pakistani auto industry but failed and left. KIA vehicles were better than majority of the shitzukies. It cost around 1.4 to 1.8 million.

The above is Toyota Rav4. Cost somewhere around 5.5 or 6 million.

The above is Diahutsu Terios Kid offered by Indus Toyota. Cost somewhere around 2.6 to 3 million.

The above is Honda CR-V. Honda vehicles are much better than any of the Locally assembled Toyota and Suzuki but more costly as well. Honda CR-V cost somewhere around 8.1 to 8.7 million.

Suzuki Jimny is like mini Pajero. Hardly a 4 seater. Even the older model Suzuki Potohar was a little bigger jeep than the new model jeep from Suzuki. Jimny cost around 2.3 to 2.6 million.

There are pros and cons of FAW vehicles but Pakistanies needs some better smaller vehicles under 1 million or 0.5 million to replace most of the 30 ~ 40 years old Japanese vehicles which have gone through dozens of restoration, re-conditioning, overhauling. Everything is running on the basis of JooGaard. JooGaard meaning, put this and that together to keep the thing working. And this process is mostly done by illiterate unprofessional mechanics who although make the thing working again but badly damage original thing in the process as their JooGaardo work means by pass proper connections, cutting wires from here there, joining of wires, wrapping electric tape and done.
